The Byzantine Catholic Seminary of Saints Cyril and Methodius was elected to associative membership in The Association of Theological Schools of the United States and Canada in 2004 and was granted candidacy status in June, 2008 for a term of five years to the fall of 2012. The second self-study was launched and resulted in re-accreditation of the seminary in January of 2012 for a period of seven years to 2019.
As an official institution of the Byzantine Catholic Church, the seminary offers the Master of Divinity Degree (M.Div.) to provide priests credentialed for service in the ministry with standardized training according to the Tradition and Theology of the Byzantine Catholic Church.
The seminary offers a Master of Theology (MAT) Degree, serving its mission as a center of Eastern Christian studies. The MAT program prepares lay and religious men and women for further graduate study, professional and leadership positions in Christian education, research and writing, chaplaincy and social services.
